Technical infrastructure is the factor which play an important role in the process of integration of socio-economic
subjects in the region. As a sub-system of economy it is a factor influencing its efficient functioning. The
process of economic region shaping is the result of formed connections coming out of interrelations of
infrastructure with socio-economic subjects. These economic regions are characterized by spatial, functional and
size-structure. Inter-regional connections must be stronger than connections of these regions with their
surroundings. Among elements of integrated pattern connections must exist connections of people, material goods,
energy and information mobility. Possibilities of such displacements are in technical infrastructure what is their
main function.
Elements which weaken the process in South-East Poland are as follows:
- natural environment conditions,
- historical conditions (these areas belonged to Austria and Russia during the partitions of Poland).
Elements which make the process faster is the transport system because of its commonplaceness. Among infrastructure
which in the nearest times may cause increase of integration speed is gas industry.
