Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of estheticism in Russian literature of the end of XIX – the beginning of the XX century. The paradoxical of esthetic system of K. Leontyev which was reflected in his concept of the Russian literature is considered. The paradoxical of K. Leontyev’s concept was directly connected with rejection of the egalitarian world, its moral postulates. The “poetry”, picturesqueness of “terrestrial life” comprehended in the ratio the internal law of life with empirical becomes a subject of its art and philosophical researches. Creative process for K. Leontyev is an aspiration to an accurate embodiment of the main esthetic idea to which all world represented by the artist is submitted. K. Leontyev in the analysis of works directly addressed to consideration of poetics’ questions. Due to the poetic vision K. Leontyev learnt a problem of “point of view” with the help of which the author leads a story. Thus, absolutization of the esthetic allowed K. Leontyev to expect searches of modernist criticism to the XIX–XX centuries.
