Abstract

The paper highlights the concepts of “creativity”, “creative potential”. It shows that several components of the individual creative potential are affected by the culture of a particular society that directs and determines the actions and activities of the people. Further development and implementation of creativity requires appropriate cultural background which stimulates the creative process. However, the study of different cultures shows that not each culture strives for creative discoveries, innovations and change. The paper makes an attempt to analyse and summarise findings of the studies on how different cultures perceive creative discoveries, innovations and change.
