Abstract

The modern development of medicine that offers tools and techniques due to which it is possible to overcome human limitations and improve the quality of human life, ceases to be a design vision and becomes reality. The purpose of the work is to present the concept of transhumanism, basic ideas and their criticism with reference to human security. Indication of the undertaken problems, in the author’s view, should be a contribution to a broad and interdisciplinary academic discussion, which has an impact on shaping the security policy.
