Abstract
The aim of the article is to characterize the main determinants of the functioning of modern artillery and the challenges of the future, especially the development of electromagnetic weapons. Needs and imperfections associated with the development of artillery have been pointed out. In the following, the specific features of electromagnetic weapons are discussed, the method of its operation and the possibilities of its application are presented.
