dc.description.abstract | The paper contains reflections of the author who, over the last few decades, made a stained-glass window series
in churches in collaboration with the sculptor Maciej Zychowicz. The paper, inter alia, describes the
gropus of painting and sculpture in the Church of Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of Poland, at Wejherowo where,
experimentally, white and whitened glass was used as well as in the Church of Christ the King at Jarosław and
Kobiernice by Kęty. In the latter case, the windows became an integral part of the polychromy which, in
sections, is complemented by a figurative sculptural structure. A vital aspect considered by the designer in each
of the described cases was a well thought-out iconographic program, related both to the patron of the church as
well as to the function of the space of a particular church section. | en |
