Ball-on-Disk – metoda badań zużywania się materiałów

Abstract

The article presents an overview of various phenomena in the wear of materials, particularly of cutting edges. The procedure for determining the wear during sliding using a Pin-on- -Disk and Ball-on-Disk apparatus was presented. The coefficient of friction measurements in contact with a steel ball was determined for three $Si_3N_4$ base compacts: a commercial one without solid lubricants, with 0.5 wt% and 1 wt% hBN solid lubricant participation.
