The article present results of the research of self-confidence of novice psychologists. The
self-confidence has been defined as a positive integrated approach to one’s own opportunities,
which perceives success of the socialization, growth of a personality and manifests itself
in the psychological health of a specialist. The self-confidence of novice psychologists has been
considered as a three-component construct, which includes cognitive, motivational-affective
and behavioral components. Self-understanding, autosympathy and spontaneity have been
defined as indicators of the development of the components. Empirical research data have
stated the prevalence of the average level of the structural components development of this
personal formation, which indicates an average level of the self-confidence development of
novice psychologists. Psychological conditions of the self-confidence development of novice
psychologists have been determined: reflexivity, motivation of achievement, autonomy and
coping strategy. These conditions are in a state of dynamic interrelation with the structural
components of the phenomenon of self-confidence. Results of the empirical of the conditions
have been presented. The presence of positive correlation of the development conditions
with the corresponding components of self-confidence has been stated. It has confirmed the
hypothesis of this research.
