Studium przypadku czteroletniego chłopca z jąkaniem

Abstract

Artykuł opisuje przypadek 4-letniego chłopca z jąkaniem wczesnodziecięcym oraz efekty jego terapii przy użyciu programu Palin PCI. Założenia wykorzystanego programu oscylują wokół zmian w dynamice relacji w najbliższej rodzinie dziecka z jąkaniem, modyfikacji sposobu komunikacji, otwartym mówieniu o jąkaniu, a także zadbaniu o odpowiedni poziom samooceny. W artykule opisano cele terapii, które sformułowano wraz dzieckiem i jego rodzicami, przebieg trwania programu oraz jego efekty końcowe. Wprowadzone oddziaływania terapeutyczne przy użyciu opisywanego programu przyniosły wymierne korzyści nie tylko dla samego chłopca, ale również dla jego najbliższego otoczenia, zaś poziom nasilenia jego jąkania uległ odczuwalnemu zmniejszeniu.

The article describes the case of a 4-year‑ old boy with early childhood stuttering and effects of his therapy using the Palin PCI program. The assumptions of the program used oscillate around changes in the dynamics of relationships in the immediate family of a child with stuttering, changing the way of communication, talking openly about stuttering, as well as ensuring an appropriate level of self‑ esteem. The article describes the goals of the therapy, which were formulated with the child and his parents, the course of the program and its results. The therapeutic interactions introduced using the described program brought tangible benefits not only to the boy himself, but also to his immediate environment, while the level of severity of his stuttering was perceptibly reduced.
