Ocena struktury i mobilności języka u osób dorosłych – wyniki ilościowych i jakościowych badań pilotażowych

Abstract

Niniejszy artykuł jest odpowiedzią na potrzebę dyskusji nad budową wędzidełka języka oraz jej wpływu na występowanie rozmaitych dysfunkcji jamy ustnej. Obliczenia statystyczne, dokonane przez autorki, stanowią badania pilotażowe, w których udział wzięło 201 osób. Ocenie podlegała nie tylko budowa anatomiczna języka, ale także najczęściej towarzyszące nieprawidłowościom korelaty: problemy ortodontyczne, fizjoterapeutyczne czy artykulacyjne. I choć autorki – z uwagi na rozmiary tekstu – nie podjęły w artykule problemu skrócenia wędzidełka języka w ujęciu terapeutycznym, to jednak mają nadzieję, że wyniki obserwacji oraz dane statystyczne dokonane na podstawie badania dużej grupy populacyjnej przyczynią się do rozwoju wiedzy na temat postępowania terapeutycznego w przypadku ankyloglosji.

The article presented to the readers is a response to the need to discuss the structure of the frenulum of the tongue and its impact on the occurrence of various oral dysfunctions. Statistical calculations, made by the authors, represent a pilot study in which 201 people participated. Not only the anatomical structure of the tongue was evaluated, but also the most common correlates of abnormalities: orthodontic, physiotherapeutic or articulatory problems. And although the authors – due to the size of the text – did not address the problem of shortening the frenulum of the tongue in therapeutic terms, they hope that the results of observations and statistical data made on the basis of a study of a large population group will contribute to the development of knowledge on the therapeutic management of ankyloglossia.
