dc.description.abstractThe main aim of this article is to present in a synthetic form a summary of 25 years of activity of the Teacher Training College in Sosnowiec. As a graduate and former long-teaching staff member of the college, the author attempts to make a review and summarize the achievements of teacher training in German as a foreign language and show on that basis the causes and conditions underlying the long-term effective operations of this institution. The subject of the article focuses on the one hand on the issue directly related to the education of future teachers of the German language; on the other hand it discusses forms of activity for the local community and non-statutory activities as a good-practice example.en
