Abstract
Celem niniejszego artykułu jest omówienie wydarzeń, jakie rozegrały się w Palestynie na przełomie 438 i 439 r., a zwłaszcza ukazania roli jaką odegrały w nich dwie przedstawicielki dynastii teodozjańskiej: cesarzowa Atenais- Eudokia - żona Teodozjusza II i Pulcheria jego siostra.
 
The purpose of this article is to discuss the events that unfolded in Palestine at the turn of 438/439, in particular the role played therein by two representatives of the Theodosian dynasty: the Empress Eudokia, wife of Theodosius II, and Pulcheria, his sister.
