System wartości mieszkańców tradycyjnej wsi utrwalony w nieoficjalnych nazwach własnych (na przykładzie gminy Wręczyca Wielka w powiecie kłobuckim)

Abstract

This article is a part of methodological frames of cultural onomastics. Its main purpose is an attempt to analyse valid – in terms of inhabitants of old village – values which were written down in the non-official proper names. The inquiring sight contains different categories of nomina propria: names of the parts of a village, field names and terms of the names of small objects of sacred architecture. Non-official proper names were collected during the geographical exploration from 2011 to 2023 in Wręczyca Wielka community near Klobuck in the north of Silesian Province. In the analysis of the onimic material, the utterances of community inhabitants were also used. Based on the specificity of the non-official appellative system it could be claimed that the names of the parts of a village, field names and terms of the names of small objects of sacred architecture are sources of information about values of “a simple man”. These names mostly touch upon: religiousness, the value of farmland, living off the land, family, the essence of community life, the necessity of past remembrance. They maintain these elements of folk axiosphere which are pillars of functioning of former microsociety.
