Abstract

Human sexuality has changed profoundly over the centuries. Once controlled by the state, religion and family, it nowadays becomes a private human affair. We are observing some changes in the area of human sexuality. There has been a shift from control to freedom; from holiness to ordinariness; and even decency was removed, which resulted in widespread shamelessness. Sexuality is almost ubiquitous in society, especially in the media, in culture, and in advertising. The paper focuses on the changes in sexuality, reaching for tradition and religion, up to modern times.
