The paper outlines the basic economic indicators (NFC, SPBT, DPBT, NPV, IRR) used to evaluate viability of wind power schemes. A wide range of design parameters and operating conditions of wind power plants are considered: year-average wind speed at the plant location, nominal power ratings (cost of 1 kW of power installed).
