Abstract

The article contains information regarding the history of the origins of the Institute of Special Pedagogy. The process of structural development of the institution was presented, including the components such as: research-scientific activity, didactic activity, development of the scientific-didactic staff. The text has been divided into four parts, which is connected to four stages of organisational development of the institution: from the Chair of Experimental Research to the Institute of Special Pedagogy.
