Abstract

The year 2015 is the year of the 60th anniversary of the upbringing, didactic and scientific work of a unique professor of humanistic sciences - Alicja Rakowska. The article presents the most important information regarding Her life, professional work in special schooling, academic career, work in the institutions and management of the university and nationwide scientific institutions, as well as scientific achievements and meaning of the research conducted by Her for the development of special pedagogy.
