Abstract

The paper describes bilateral assessment and politics of memory in relations between Poland and Germany, 2005–2009. Additional information of relations between Germany, Poland and Russia, impacting these relations is also covered in this document. The period started with elections won by Prawo i Sprawiedliwość (PiS) party, paying a lot of attention to relations with Germany and ends at the apogee of a historical dispute of the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of the World War II. The article refers to sociological researches concerning evolution of stereotypes in relations between Poland and Germany as well.
