Fazy rozwoju form skalnych w Magurze Wątkowskiej

Abstract

In the range of the Wątków Magurian within the Low Beskid Mts., there occur rock measures known as Kornuts. They can be found both on the summit and on the slopes. In the paper the author describes the measures and tries to determine their origin. Their occurrence is associated with the presence of thick-banked Magurian sands, their development being due to the formation of a large slide upon the south-western slopes of the Wątków Magurian. All observed rock measures are evolving simultaneously, as testified to by the thick layer at the foot of the mountains.
