The paper presents five various areas where the research has been conducted. The main part of the paper is description of researches related to personality characteristics of teachers (Kossewska, 2000; Kliś, Kossewska, 2000). These studies were designed to examine whether any individual differences determine the attitudes of teachers towards mainstreaming and whether they have impact on teacher training practice.
