Shalom Schwartz defined the core values "as desirable, trans-situational goals, varying in importance that serve as guiding principles in people’s lives". The value types proposed by Schwartz were as follows: power, achievement, hedonism, stimulation, self-direction, universalism, benevolence, conformity, tradition and security. This study is designed to determine value preferences and interpersonal aggression in lower secondary school students.
