Having analysed the poet’s essays concerned with Pushkin’s work and personality, the author of the paper tries to
define Cvetaeva’s aesthetic views, her attitude towards the psychology of genius and the essence of creative
activity as well as the main features of her prose. The author arrives at the conclusion that Cvetaeva’s essays on
Pushkin contain a highly personal and onesided, but brilliant and penetrating survey of one aspect of the writer’s
creative work — namely, his rebellious Romanticism.
