Typologiczne ujęcie tradycyjnej kultury ludowej

Abstract

The popular culture in its traditional form reflected a historical phase in the social and economic development of polish countryside. It was adequate to the social life of so-called relatively closed local rural communities. The present essay is an attempt of a synthetical characterization of this culture. The description is based upon the results of the empirical and theoretical studies of numerous investigators of polish rural culture.
