Gleby zachodniego skłonu gór Chentej

Abstract

Soil characteristics for the western part of the Chentej Mountains are given. Two main soil types are distinguished by the author in reference to the geological structure; weathering soils formed on metamorphic rocks and granitoides as well as alluvial and delluvial soils occurring in the valley bottoms mainly. Particular consideration is given to the soil zonality an to its high correlation to flora—climatic zones. Soils in seven zones were distinguished and described. Granulometric composition, colour and chemical properties of some chosen soils are tabulated in three tables.
