The contemporary security environment abound in various threat generated by natural
powers and a human himself. They are unpredictable, complex and not only co-occur but
permeate, disturbing functioning of the whole societies and individuals. That is why they
should be treated in a multidimensional way to prepare society to respond to them effectively.
The institutions and organizations responsible for security and civil protection are inclined
to design interdisciplinary preventive/proactive or training programs aimed at effective
redressing the balance of a system and an individual. For that purpose they employ available
methodologies and IT toolkits that make a design and implementation of the innovative and
effective programs for security easier.
The paper aims at characterizing the contemporary threats that determine form of the
security programs/projects. It discusses also types do programs/trainings, their structures,
content and tools for design and implementations.
Description of the methodology for project management in security and analysis of the
exemplary program already implemented should serve as a practical clue for further project
work aiming at preparing society to respond to threats effectively.
