dc.description.abstract | The Internet offers new strategies and channels of communication, different from what we use in other communicational situations. One of such systems is exchanging information by means of e-mail. Although it is already a common form of correspondence, there are still no developed enough stylistic, linguistic, and graphic features of it. And this is the issue presented in the paper. Specific features of a letter are distinguished: the dialogic character, joining elements of written and spoken languages, briefness, using graphic elements - emoticons and acronyms. Moreover messages were divided into private and oflicial ones. Another important question is a structure of a letter. Fields of the sender, the addressee, the subject, the text may be separated here.
The point of reference is the assertion that e-mail makes specific conditions of sending messages using for the purpose different forms of communication, from linguistic ones through borrowings, acronyms, abbreviations, specific language structures, down to graphics. | en_EN |
