dc.description.abstractThe paper presents a supply, the origin, and the structure of used as official names in the 20th century derivations from Old Polish compound names like Leszek, Bogusz, Sławek, Dobrochna, Bożena, Mira as well as names derived from common words, e.g. Szczęsny, Żegota, Jagoda, Malina. Frequency of occurring particular names in the 20th century was shown and an attempt to present reasons of popularity of some of them was made. Attention was drawn to innovative elements and also to some differences that occur in sets of masculine and feminine names.en_EN
