The article presents some possibilities of applying structural methods to biology lessons pointing in particular to the notes in the pupil’s copy-book. The first part of the article deals with the definition of the structure and the structural teaching in biology. Various aspects and the importance of structuring the contents at the stage of memorizing are presented. Next the stages of planning and realization of structural teaching and the role of the pupil’s copy-book in teaching and learning biology are shown. In the second part of the article eleven projects of structural notes of biological contents are presented. They contain the material realised in the seventh and eight forms of Elementary School. Lentainly the authors realise that their propositions don’t include all the possible different forms of notes in the pupil’s copy-book. Notes taken during the lessons of biology should contain the structure of notions in verbal and graphical forms as well as observations, conclusions from experiments, tables, diagrams, descriptions of the culture etc.en_EN
