POWER SET-problems with understanding the idea

The article concerns some symbols introduced in the first year of mathematics studies and problems of
understanding them by students. We will show it in the idea of power set. A sequence of didactic activities
proposed to students will be presented, around the of associative and commutative properties of multiplication in
the power set of natural numbers.
Also, I will propose a specific procedure of introducing the “power set” idea in the course involving this
subject, which will exclude any problems encountered previously.
