Literackie przekodowanie tekstu prawnego w Panu Tadeuszu

Abstract

The article deals with the problem of establishing interpretative context for Pan Tadeusz as a text constituting a kind of author’s updating of the legislation ideas of the Republic of Poland. It shows the mechanism of authentic language structures and the semiotic system of legal acts and legislative codes being translocated into the area of literary fiction. Treating Mickiewicz’s work traditionally in terms of “the judgement over Poland”, the author indicates how and why the world of legal culture that is written in the universum of symbols of the law of guilt and judgement is interpreted in the context of text and text-recipient in the categories of timeless moral evaluation of the man and the nation in the given political circumstances.
