Abstract

In this article the authors are trying to answer the question whether the level of divergence in self-concept depends on an anxiety. Self-Real and Self-Ideal are understood as the basics elements of self-concept and the differences between them as divergence in self-concept. The authors invented the pattern to index of divergence between Self-Real and Self-Ideal. They verified the hypothesis of statistical significance of differences in the values of index of divergence at the persons with high and low level of anxiety. The hypothesis was confirmed. Index of divergence at the persons with high level of anxiety was an essentially higher than at the persons with low level of anxiety.
