Modern didactics based upon active methods considers a picture created by a child with the help of different techniques an instrument of the cognizance and understanding of the world. The didactics of literature also makes use of this connection. In this process the results of an extra-verbal utterance while testifying to the reception and understanding of a work become at the same time an instrument of its analysis. A survey of such a form of utterance created by a child during the period of physio- plasticity makes the material base for this publication together with the intention to formulate the laws which govern such an utterance. In order to define this utterance of pictorial nature its relationship to a static picture (an advertising one) has been pointed out with the reference to R. Barthes's statements on the rhetoric of a picture. These factors helped to a great extent to demonstrate the degree of the verbalization of the utterance as well as its symbolic-and-denominative meaning.en_EN
