dc.description.abstract | The author of the present paper examines the educational perspectives of the use of computer technique in Polish
studies. He assumes incidentally that computerization leads to a new configuration of the hitherto existing
elements of culture, among them written media as well as audiovisual ones. These media have always seemed to be
in a state of conflict in school practice whereas a computer may help to overcome the opposition between the
word-dominated models of culture and those dominated by sound and vision. The author makes a survey of different
computer educational programs and valuates them from the point of view of their usability in Polish studies. The
majority of practical experiments has proved that computer educational programs teach thinking in a convergent
way. There is however a certain domain of the application of a computer and its proper cover which may favor the
development of thinking of a divergent, creative type. Such are the programs of wording texts, programs aiding
the editorial work on a small scale, graphic ones, and bases of data. An effort to use such programs might help
to develop writing abilities of the pupils and help them to connect precision and accuracy of thought with
freedom of creative expression. | en_EN |
