dc.description.abstract | The present paper contains a synthetic survey of the inquiry concerned with the professional equipment of the
graduates of Polish studies. The survey covers the period from 1960 up to 1986. It reveals, on the one hand,
numerous drawbacks in the professional equipment of the students of Polish, and, on the other hand, the
incompleteness, fragmentary nature, and want of perfection in the studies carried out at that time. The low
evaluation of the graduates' professional level refers to different aspects of their substantial-and-objective
equipment, and – first of all – to the numerous domains of the didactic one. Having estimated the methodological
aspect of the investigation the authors demonstrate their often too narrow scope and the lack of elaborate
objective methods and instruments for the diagnosis of the students' achievement. Instead of reliable and
objective statements treatises of publicistic nature have often appeared in the bibliography. Nevertheless the
survey in question presents a general description of the state of the efficiency of the university studies of
Polish and points out the directions for the further, more thorough investigation of the problem. | en_EN |
