dc.description.abstractThe article presents research data on principles and methods of organising ecological education in post-elementary schools, and it deals with activities of cooperating institutions and school circles, which implement tasks of environmental protection and increase ecological awareness. The research was conducted on the territory of south-eastern Poland, and the results from the voivodeship of Małopolska were demonstrated on a sample of 211 persons. The research leads to a worrying image of the Polish post-elementary school faced with the teaching challenges of 21st century in the area of environment protection, where many necessary educational components are missing.en_EN
