This article presents chosen aspects of Warsaw Ghetto Uprising in 1943. These aspects are
presentet through stories of witnesses or partakers of that event. Because of the passing time
and traumatic experiences of Jews who were imprisoned and persecuted by Nazi criminals and
who survived Holocaust, the history of those events is steadily becoming harder to be investigated
upon their memories. That is why stories of partakers (both passive and active) that have
been published in the last few years often better present this tragedy than even the best historical
studies. In accordance with this fact, I have decided to bring closer some of these memories in
the form that, in my opinion, reflects the atmosphere of those times in the most authentic way,
that is to say in the from of descriptions of single events from eye-witness account. Today, when
a part of the history that not so long ago has been considered obvious is negated by many of the
foreign journalists who touch Holocaust subject matters, it is important to remind past events
that seem evident to us, Poles. In my opinion, the best way to do this is to present stories of
those who took part in those tragic events.
