The paper presents the study of 100 female teachers. The aim of the study was to investigate the relation between job success, temperamental and intellectual traits and intensity of stimulation in place of residence.
The results showed that job success and job satisfaction in female teachers were positively related to the level of extraversion. Subjects who worked longer and higher evaluated their own abilities were more satisfied in their work.
There were found complex interactive relations between temperament, intelligence and intensity of stimulation in place of residence which influenced job success. The higher level of intensity of stimulation in place of residence influenced the increasing of neurotisism, not in interaction with energetic level of behavior and intelligence influenced the self - evaluation of professional competences. Female teachers with higher level of intelligence and energetic level of behavior living in big towns, evaluated their professional competences lower then other. On one hand living in towns helps them to realize their hobbies and gives many possibilities for different activities. On the other hand they may have higher standards of professional competence. There were also found relation between intensity of stimulation in place of residence and inhibition, but this result is very difficult to interpret according to theories of temperament and intelligence.
