"Wolność-niewola" - wzbogacanie struktur semantycznych w języku uczniów gimnazjum

Abstract

Temat pracy koncentrował się wokół języka wartości. Przyjęta procedura badawcza zmierzała nie tylko do diagnozy rozumienia i wartościowania wolności i niewoli, lecz także do pogłębienia struktur semantycznych obu pojęć w rozumieniu uczniów. Dotyczyła aspektu aplikacyjnego lingwistyki edukacyjnej.

Badania były dwustopniowe. Wstępnie zdiagnozowano świadomość językową gimnazjalistów za pomocą badań ankietowych. Wypowiedzi piszących stanowiły z kolei podstawę do określenia dalszego kierunku postępowania - opracowania tematycznych dyskursów lekcyjnych. Przedmiotem dyskursów w obu badanych grupach wiekowych (pierwszej i trzeciej klasy gimnazjum) były pojęcia: wolność słowa, wolności obywatelskie i uzależnienie jako niewola. Dyskursy tekstowe i wypowiedzi uczniów na poszczególnych lekcjach były podstawą do badań, a po każdym ich etapie wyznaczały dalszy kierunek analiz i czynności zmierzających do wzbogacenia struktur semantycznych w języku uczniów w obrębie badanych leksemów.

Z rozprawy wynika, że niezbędne jest doprecyzowanie znaczeń wyrazów, tym bardziej jeżeli dotyczą one języka wartości. Zaprezentowana w pracy metoda potwierdza także, jak ważnym jest uświadomienie sobie istoty samego rozumienia i procesu wyuczalności języka. Kształcenie języka musi mieć charakter procesualny, etapowy, prowadzić do stopniowego poszerzania znaczenia pojęcia. Powinno obejmować: rozumienie pojęcia, intensyfikację semantyczną i internalizacje wartości.

The topic of the PhD thesis focused on the language of values. The chosen research method aimed not only at diagnosing understanding and judging of words "freedom" and "bondage" but also at deepening the semantic structures of these words as far as the students' understanding. The thesis was concerned with the application aspect of educational linguistics.

The research was conducted in two stages. Firstly language awareness of the high junior school students was diagnosed with the use of questionnaires. The students' statements helped to determine a further procedure - drawing up thematic lesson discourses. The subject of the discourses in both research age groups (first and third form) was the following notions: freedom of speech, civic freedom and addiction as bondage.

The text discourses and the statements made by the students during the lessons formed a basis for the research and, after each of its stages, they determined a further direction for the analysis and actions that were supposed to enrich the semantic structures in the students' language within the research lexemes.

The thesis concludes that it is indispensable to provide a clear and precise meaning of words, especially if the words are connected with the language of values. The method presented in the thesis also proves how important it is to realise the gist of understanding itself as well as of the process of language teachability. Language teaching must be seen as a process which leads to gradual expansion of meaning of a given notion. It should comprise: understanding a notion, semantic intensification and internalization of values.
