The experiment was carried out over a period of six years from 1989 to 1995 at the Department of Russian Philology of the
Pedagogical University of Cracov. During this time, seven groups of students were taught by means of specially designed grammar
teaching materials. The experiment was divided into five periods and, after each of them, the students were given a test. The results
of each test were compared with the results achieved by another group on the same teaching level. The experiment proved that it is
possible to become proficient in using the correct grammatical case and in applying an appropriate causative, locative or temporal
structure, provided the students have aquired the elementary linguistic information and have internalized it in the process of
performing appropriate exercises based on the bilingual approach.
