SONB/SP/465103/2020 pt. "Organizacja kolekcji czasopism naukowych w Repozytorium UP wraz z wykonaniem rekordów analitycznych".Streszczenie
The specialisation came into being in the 2001/2002 academic year. Due to the abandonment
of entrance examinations, it was essential to determine the aim, the content and the
educational forms which would guarantee accurate evaluation of the graduates’ knowledge
and skills. Therefore, the Department of Publishing and Ancillary Studies in Polish Philology
was created and, since 2006, its teaching staff has included: prof. Marek Buś; Maciej Eder,
PhD; prof. Kazimierz Gajda (the head of the Department); prof. Maria Ostaszowa; and lately
also Piotr Kołodziej, PhD. The obligatory introduction of the two-level course of studies has
proved very problematic but hopefully it will not have a negative impact on the abilities of
students entering the world of digital printing as they are assisted by professionals.
Between 2001 and 2011, nearly 290 people graduated from the Publishing Specialisation:
about 140 have obtained their Master’s degree following a five-year course of full-time
studies and about 90 – part-time ones; over 50 have obtained their Bachelor’s degree (for
the first time in the academic year 2009/2010) after full-time and 7 after part-time course
of studies.
