Samodzielność osób z niepełnosprawnością w Internecie

Abstract

The article describes the issue of adapting the Internet to the needs and requirements of people with disabilities, in the context of the conclusions of WCAG – Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.0, which means the rules for designing websites adapted to the needs of disabled people. On this basis difficulties in using the Internet by people with disabilities were presented. The problem of autonomous use of the Internet by people with intellectual, motoric and sensory disabilities was analyzed, presenting concrete solutions lowering the limitations in these areas. The article includes a reference to i.a. the results of the study entitled "People with disabilities in the Internet", conducted by the order of PFRON within the "INFOSTRAT – research for a friendly administration" project, as well as other studies done in relation to people with intellectual, motoric and sensory disability.
