Neuroscience experience at the end of the 20th century led to the launch of new possibilities of hearing aids, opportunities using direct stimulation of endings of the auditory nerve in the inner ear or directly of the nerve fibers in the upper stages of the auditory path. Many people have taken advantage of modern technology that has helped, in addition to traditional methods (albeit highly specialized, hearing aids), to restore acoustic signals, particularly in cases of complicated, neural-sensoiy hearing impairments. The ąuality of the equipment and the adeąuacy of its selection results in the amount of patient's hearing satisfaction. However, the ąuality of functioning of people with hearing impairment is also largely determined by the techniąue of selecting and tuning of the eąuipment From practice, experience and knowledge of the hearing care technologist depends the fullest possible use of the acoustic environment by the patienL Quality of signal reception of the sound is also strongly dependent on the behavior of the patient himself, his or her consciousness and participation in revalidation procedures.
This work is devoted to investigating the process leading to maximum hearing benefit - prosthesis. It reveals the shortcomings and malfunctions of the system, shows the patient's habits, expectations and possibilities.
