The article presents a part of the results of the research concerning the digital generation’s activity in the cyberspace. It is focused on the subject matter connected to the youth’s functioning in a school environment versus their activity in the Web. Taking a grade average, the attendance in the extracurricular classes, a school liking or the teachers’ attitudes towards the students into consideration, the relation of these spheres with a pathological usage of the Internet has been discussed. a statistical analysis has led to indicate the essential factors which should be modified in order to protect teenagers from escaping into the Web and overusing it.en_EN
