The article contains a description of subject matter of numerous (more then 140) short sports jokes (in majority dialogues) from the period since the January Uprising till World War II. The texts of these jokes were published in numerous comic and satirical magazines (about 90 titles). They were taken out from remained numbers of these magazines and arranged according to domains of sport (beginning with the most numerous domain represented by such texts). In order to reflect the humour contained in these texts it was necessary not only to describe each comic event but also to cite the final point of each joke.en
