The authors of the article present an innovatory solution for school libraries, namely e-Twinning. Using the Internet, the pupils and the librarians can realize interesting educational projects in cooperation with schools in all of Europe (32 states are partners in the programme). Topics of the projects are free and diverse. Essentially each project should be innovative, should encourage pupils’ involvement and should be educationally helpful. The authors present a number of most interesting projects which have been awarded in the Polish national competition, and discuss their goals, themes, and usefulness, e.g. Inspiration from paintings; Biblical inspirations in European painting and culture yesterday and today; With a tale in your backpack, or Our European friends: a medieval manuscript.en
