The aim of this article is to share experiences and reflections on how to improve access to education of students with impaired hearing. Its authors focus on a selected group of issues related to the education of students with disabilities, which include, among others: a low level of knowledge of the Polish language, insufficient knowledge of a foreign language and – in many cases – even a lack of knowledge of any languages. Therefore, the article presents examples of good practices developed by the Disability Support Service at the Pedagogical University of Cracow. These solutions have been designed not only to support the education of students with disabilities, but also to fully integrate them into the academic, social and professional life.en
