dc.description.abstract | During the whole speech therapy of a particular disorder it is important to make the right diagnosis and then to do
individualized exercises that are suitable for a patient’s age and abilities. The proper selection of vocabulary is
especially relevant. On each stage of his/her work with a patient the speech therapist must present either to the
patient himself/herself or—e.g. in a child’s case—to the patient’s parents/foster-parents sensible arguments
confirming the correctness and purposefulness of the therapist’s work referring to diagnosis, practice (selection
of exercises), and discursive structures (“order of things”) on the level of disordered discourse. | en |
