The paper shows the role of neurobiological foundations of the process of learning in educational linguistics. Knowledge from the sphere of neurobiology not only completes but also changes the way of perceiving linguistic phenomena. Cerebral mechanisms conditioning learning are closely connected with acquisition and developing of a language. Knowledge of such mechanisms may turn out to be useful in searching for ‘brain-friendly’ ways of linguistic education in educational discourse.en
