The article discusses the following issues:
1. Diagnosis of the specific needs and developmental potential from the perspective of the developmental tasks
(Wygotski, Havighurst). The employment of Munich Functional Development Screening (MFDS) to construct Individual
Plans of Development Stimulation with the use of the integration of the postural and dynamic reflexes.
2. The development of awareness through the world perception from the perspective of educational kinesiology:
– building self-identity;
– stimulating cognitive activity;
– building the sense of self-agency in the direction of acquiring more autonomy.
3. Education through movement:
– integration of reflexes as a condition of developing cognitive and mental functions;
– prevention of the formation of retained reflexes;
– brain gym as a stimulator of the cognitive and mental functions development.
4. The effectiveness of the methods:
– evaluative study based on MFDS on a group of 15 children with multiple disabilities (the study lasted a year,
used statistical techniques, SPSS).
