The article presents the process of improving communication competencies of two mute students, advanced users of ACC – Mikołaj (12) and Andrzej (21) – who, due to their high intellectual potential and low motor skills, were equipped with electronic communication aids: Tech Touch and laptop with BM&SDP software. Communication with the use of electronic aids ensured the boys’ maximal independence in reaching vocabulary and gave them the possibility of constructing fuller and richer utterances both when it comes to their content and grammatical correctness. There are still some difficulties and problems that are encountered both by the users of electronic aids and the therapists who lack the access to the prototype of dynamic help that takes the Polish grammatical rules into consideration as well as to research on the frequency of language used in conversation.en
